Five-star rating scale, based on both playability and interest:
*          Failing grade. The adventure doesn’t meet minimum standards of playability.
**         I could see running this, but it fails to inspire me or has significant playability issues.
***       I would consider running this.
****     I am considering running this.
*****   I want to run this. Now.

Yorker Hills

For AD&D
Levels 2-3 (3-6 characters)

Time to grok: 5 minutes

Set-up:

There is a cluster of grassy hills believed to be home to a vicious tribe of gnolls. The gnolls are gone and all that remain are some hyenas. No rumours are provided.

Thinks to note:

This adventure site doesn’t have much going on. It wouldn’t work well as a truly random wilderness encounter. It should really be tied to some information that the party already has. The GM would need to determine whether this could be made to work in their campaign.

Things I like:

This is an innocuous wilderness encounter site with a couple secret caches where the GM could plant relevant information, a treasure map, etc.

The adventure provides a structure that could be repurposed in any ongoing campaign.

Rating:

**1/2  An adventure site which is a bit too situational to rate highly but provide a good structure
